Where comes this blog post from out of the blue?

Well, recently I have been rediscovering old gems from the 90s. A few years ago, before covid, I listened a lot to R&B. Back then, I didn’t really listen to old songs. I mostly listened to songs from the (then) last 5 years.

Then covid happened and I focused my attention on other things. Mostly on raising my consciousness and awareness about what was going on in the world. As a result I stopped listening to these types of songs.

However, this changed … let’s say… A week ago 🙂

Yeahh… Not very long but I have been totally loving these 90s vibes!

I don’t think this is going to be another phase. Nope these bangers are here to stay! A lot of these songs remind me of my childhood.

I am actually a 2000s baby, I know it’s super boring.(Or is it 😉 ) I am also disappointed in my tiktok and phone-addicted generation.

But hey let’s focus on the bright side of being a 2000s baby. You probably have heard these RnB songs somewhere during your childhood.

I don’t feel like I am the person who should ‘educate’ people on RnB. Because well I am a caucasian living in Europe. And RnB to me represents the African American people, it’s especially giving me the East side vibes. (Idk why)

But let’s not focus on what makes us different, but on what unites us: MUSIC

These songs are not something you listen to.

It’s something you have to feel!
