~ We are so focused on doing 10 things at the time that we forget to just be. You can forget to be in the moment and enjoy it because your mind is always drifting off to the past or future.

We need to do the groceries, buy our friend a gift and visit our parents house. Life is amazing but it can be a bit busy sometimes. We are so focused on doing 10 things at the time that we forget to just be. You can forget to be in the moment and enjoy it because your mind is always drifting off to the past or future.

Your mind has most of the time thoughts in them. It’s important to be able to calm the mind and just be in the moment without distracting thoughts. This is a practice that needs to be learned overtime. There are certain ways we can train this skill. By practicing these things more often you will be able to learn how to quiet the mind.

When you learn how to quiet the mind, you will be more in control in life. This will result into living a more fulfilling life, in which your dreams become reality. We all want this right?

In this article you will learn easy ways on how you can silence your mind! These practices are fun and healthy for your mind, body and spirit. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!

1. MEDITATE

I think this one is very obvious. Meditation is one of the best ways to truly quiet the mind. When you meditate you may enter a different reality or dimension, your mind will be left on earth in this reality. Meditation will also show you that the mind itself is an illusion, it won’t last or go with you after your death.

Studies have shown that meditation can help against depression or post-trauma. I think if everyone meditated for 10 minutes a day, the world would be more peaceful!

2. YOGA

I practice yoga almost every in the morning. Moving my body slowly helps me connect with my body. This way I am more aware of my energy and my potential. This sounds a bit dramatic, but it’s true. I feel more like a queen on her throne.

Yoga also helps me calm my mind. Doing yoga as one of the first things in the morning helps me set the mood for the rest of the day. When I begin with a peaceful and mindful practice like yoga, I feel more mindful the rest of the day!

3. JOURNALING

Journaling can mean anything to you. You can write about your day or write about things you want to manifest. It doesn’t matter as long as you become more aware of your reality, it’s fine. I think journaling is a great way to analyze the things that are going on in your life, you can also heal traumas this way. (in combination with a therapist)

I have to be honest with you guys.. I don’t do this all the time anymore. Last year I used to write every day in my journal. I absolutely love writing (duhh I have a blog;)) but I have been very focused on my studies. I believe that I can’t use the excuse that I was busy, because you can always find 15 free minutes in a day. However, I can say that I have been very focused on my physical reality and kinda neglected my mental and spiritual health. Now I am free from school (I gratuated!) so I am going to start working on this again!

4. SWIMMING/BATHING

When I am swimming in the sea I feel very connected to my soul. I feel like I am one with nature. Swimming or taking a bath will help you relax and this will help you calm down your mind.

The element water is yin, which means that it embodies the ‘feminine qualities’. Yin is all about the connection to Spirit and its energy, it’s the unseen force behind everything. When we are connecting with water, we are connecting with our deepest self and disconnecting with our active brain.

5. WALK IN NATURE

When we walk in nature we connect with the element earth! Earth gives you calmness and stability, these are the qualities that will help you to be more grounded. This way you can be more present in the moment and live life the fullest!

6. COOK OR BAKE SOMETHING

What do you like to do more? Cooking or baking? I personally think I like cooking more, that’s because I love to eat vegetables more than sugars and fats. Furthermore, I cook vegan because I feel like this gives me the most energy. Be mindful of the products that you put into your body. You are what you eat!

Cooking healthy meals is of course very healthy for your body. But it’s also a very mindful practice. When you are cooking (or baking) you are focused on creating a delicious meal and turn off the worries about the past or future.

7. STRETCHING YOUR BODY

This is another practice I do everyday! I am young and did gymnastics when I was younger so I am pretty flexible. I love to do my splits everyday and my hand-, head- and arm stands in the morning. It’s really nice to search on pinterest for new stretching ideas and it’s very healthy for your body! Start with something simple and grow from that point!

ACTIVATE THE ENERGY

CHIRON is ruled by the mental plane and is the yin side of it. This means that CHIRON is the creative force behind mental ideas. MERCURY is the expression of those ideas. By connecting with CHIRONS energy we can become more mindful of our mental patterns. Therefore, CHIRON is the ‘planet’ – it’s actually a comet – that I want to highlight in this blog post!

On this site I have more information about the Planets. I think finding out your dominant planet will help you become more authentic and will make it easier to follow your soul purpose. To find out your dominant planet you can take this quiz.

Let today or tonight be an enlightening time and may you connect with your energy. Take a deep breath and get in touch with your energy. Just be in this moment!

You can leave your name and email below, if you want to stay in contact with me. And if not, I hope you will have an amazing life full of love and joy!

May our souls meet again!
