~ A lot of people have not accepted their bodies and feel ashamed of it. All this shame keeps our bodies from getting the love it deserves. Sleeping naked more often can help you with this. Furthermore, it also has scientific health benefits like anti-aging!


Being naked is such a sensitive and controversial subject. As we get older, it becomes more and more the norm to cover yourself as much as possible. Society (kinda) programs you into thinking that you should be ashamed of your bodies.  I see this a lot in older generations. In younger generations they take it to the extreme sometimes, whereby it’s not about themselves anymore, but about being sexy for others. This is of course also not healthy.

When we don’t feel comfortable in our bodies, we can’t be free. We cannot let ourselves go completely and be authentic to what we want.

When I was little I ran naked on the beach, which I thought was really funny. I can remember feeling incredibly beautiful and free when I ran away from my mother to go back into the sea naked. Just thinking about this memory makes me feel a lot better in my body.

Maybe you were just as free as me or you have seen children who are free in their bodies.

Children are free in the mind, they don’t worry about what others think, they only do that when they are punished for what they are like when they get older. This is a wonderful and inspiring thing that we can learn from, regardless of your age.

A child is very connected to his or her body. Most children find everything funny, they enjoy every moment. I think this is partly because they are so connected to their bodies.

How do children do that? Being so strongly connected to their body and mind?

You could ask a child, but I don’t think they can give you an answer. I personally think it has to do with acceptance of the body.

A child is not aware of social norms and duties, a child is only concerned with entertaining and making him- or herself happy.

Why worry about what others think if you are the only one who can really make yourself happy?

An accessible step that you can take to accept your body is to sleep naked. You are still protected under a sheet and no one sees you. But still you feel your naked sensitive body.

In this blog post I’m going to give you the reasons why you should sleep naked more often. I hope these benefits will convince you to leave out your pajamas more often.

1. Skin Improvement

Wearing tight clothing prevents your skin from moving naturally and breathing. It prevents the release of human growth hormone, which contains restorative powers for your skin and hair.

Let your skin breathe, avoid the pajamas and get beautiful skin!

2. Confidence

I love to touch my arms, hips and sides. When I do that, I am grateful for my body. I see how magical everything in my body works. When you think about it, it’s really complicated how everything works just right in your body.

When I have slept naked at night, I have more confidence the next day. The more you sleep naked, the more you pay attention to the beautiful things in your body. And over time you start to see even the lesser things as something positive and appreciate it.

3. Get Into Your Body

It is wonderful to be so intimate with yourself. You don’t need a partner to give you affection, when you give yourself what your body asks for it is the best feeling you can have.

When we sleep naked we can feel our body better, so we can listen to our body better. You may suddenly notice that you feel pressure near your knee, something you hadn’t realized before.

In addition, the effect of sleeping naked is also grounding. It connects our soul and body with the present here on earth.

4. Spiritual Healing

Sleeping naked is of course something very intimate, it forces us to look at our naked body. You may be trying to avoid this because you have low self-esteem, but that’s when it’s important to look at your body.

First of all, it is important to find out which areas you are insecure about, your weight, your breasts, your nose or something else. Realize that as long as we talk badly about our bodies, we remain in a circle in which we continue to look at ourselves with low self-esteem.

Sleeping naked can help break this cycle. You are forced to look at yourself, try to turn the negativity into something positive. Thank yourself for your beautiful eyes, magical hair and soft skin.

5. Better Sleep Pattern

It has been scientifically proven that sleeping naked has a positive effect on our sleep pattern. Our body temperature can adapt better, because it is not disturbed by clothing. In addition, sleeping naked boosts our melatonin production.

6. Let Go Of Shame

We humans have a lot of negative ideas and thoughts about nudity. Are these really our thoughts or do they come from somewhere else?

I think these belief systems are ingrained when we are little. We teach your body is full of shame and that it must be something secret. You shouldn’t say too publicly that you’re happy with your body, let alone show it. All this shame keeps our bodies from getting the love it deserves.

We must get rid of the shame of our bodies. The shame makes us not fully accept ourselves. When we accept our body, we can enjoy life more and live as authentically as possible.

7. Activate Sacral Chakra

Your sacral chakra is located just below your belly button. This Chakra is about creative expression and sexuality. When we sleep naked we come more in touch with our body and sexuality, this activates / balances our sacral chakra. A balanced sacral chakra leads to a life full of creativity and expression.

8. Spiritual Understanding

In our modern society, our body is often associated with sex. This is only a function of the body, our body is the physical manifestation of our energetic consciousness. When we realize that our body is pure and not dirty, we can better connect with our body. This teaches us that our body teaches us a lot.

Through our body we can feel, see, smell and we can have contact with the spiritual world. The more we focus on our connection between body and soul, the more higher knowledge we gain. We learn what we are doing here on earth and are better able to listen to our intuition. Our intuition will teach us a lot about ourselves.

9. Vaginal Health

Like everyone else, you probably wear (tight) underwear during the day. During the day it can get quite hot and humid there. To keep your vagina healthy, it is important to let it air.

At night you can take off the tight underwear so that it can breathe. This will make the sweat around your vagina disappear. This again prevents infections as yeast to grow there.

10. Male Fertility

Research has shown that when men wear tight underwear, there is a lower sperm content. ”Men who wore boxer shorts during the day and nothing to bed had significantly lower levels of damaged DNA in their sperm compared to those who wore tight underpants during the day and at night.”

11. Diabetes

A 2010 study collected data from nearly 1,500 people over a 6-year period. These data showed that the longer you slept, the less likely you were to develop diabetes. We all want to avoid getting diabetes, by sleeping naked more often, we can reduce this risk.

13. Stay Young

During our sleep, our body temperature drops, as a result of which a substance is produced under the influence of serotonin in the pineal gland. This substance is called melatonin and ensures that the body gets rest. It also repairs our body, keeping it young and functioning.

In addition to melatonin, many other anti-aging hormones are produced in the body during sleep. So a little longer beauty sleep can’t hurt!

14. Blood Flow

Because we do not wear tight clothing around our body, blood pathways cannot be trapped. This improves our blood flow. We all know how healthy good blood flow is, it keeps us young and alive!


By sleeping naked, you will connect more with your body, therefore MARS, the planet ruled by the physcial plane wil be activated when you sleep naked. I also believe that sleeping naked will help you accept your body and for this reason, the MOON energy will also be activated when sleeping naked at night. You can try to sleep naked when there is a full or new moon as a ritual!
